The Zipernowsky House of Arts and Sciences and the Comenius Foundation cordially invite you An Evening in the Spirit of Science and Music on 27 November 2017, Monday at 6 PM in the Ceremonial Hall of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics.

The Zipernowsky House of Arts and Sciences remembers to the 75th anniversary of the death of Mr. Károly Zipernowsky on 27 November 2017. The evening is tied up by science and music.Dr. Sándor Jeszenszky, retired director of the Hungarian Electrotechnical Museum, gives an introductory lecture on the work of Mr. Károly Zipernowsky, what will be followed by the opening speach of Mr. Csaba Mészáros, founder of the Zipernowsky House. Ms. Helga Váradi, a harpsichord and organist at the Zurich University of Arts Department of Music, gives a lecture and concert on violinist Ms. Geyer Stefi, which is also a premier performance. The niece of Mr. Károly Zipernowsky was a celebrated soloist and many composers were inspired by her. Béla Bartók, Jenő Hubay and others wrote music for her. Mr. Mátyás Mézes, the concertmaster of the Kassai Philharmonic Orchestra plays the works, accompanied by Helga Váradi on piano.

After the concert, the exhibition will be opened on the life of Mr. Károly Zipernowsky and photos from Ms. Geyer Stefi's everunpublished legacy in the Zipernowsky House of Arts and Sciences at Bartók Béla street 33.

The exhibition is open until 15 February 2018.
